Our principals and their experience
GPT’s principals offer a complementary set of skills in GIS and other IT disciplines. Janette Lovely is a database analyst who has worked with ESRI software for almost 20 years. She has created, updated and migrated numerous GIS database designs. When not at work, she researches genealogy and hybridizes daylilies. Some of Janette's recent projects include:

Marcus Brothwell has been developing applications for more than 25 years, including
successive ESRI platforms for the last 10 years. He has also been involved in all stages of the software development life cycle for many non-gis projects in recent years. When not working at GPT he sustainably raises chickens and has a working music studio. Some of Marcus' recent projects include:
|
Woodson Smith is experienced in data development and quality control in various environments including ESRI software. He has a lot of experience in data digitizing, maintenance, and updating (e.g., addresses, street centerlines, parcels). He is also a Web designer and graphic artist. He is a former Kentucky mountain bike champion and a Kentucky Colonel.
Some of Woodson's recent GIS projects include:

Before there was GPT….
GPT’s three principals worked together for a number of years in a previous company before establishing GPT in early 2014.
In 2013, Janette and Woodson (while employees of PlanGraphics, Inc.) worked together on a data analysis project for Knoxville/Knox County, Tenn.
From 2011 through mid-2013, Marcus, Janette, and Woodson (as PlanGraphics employees) worked together on requirements analysis, project management, programming, user interface optimization, and an awful lot of research for an electronic medical records application.
In 2011 and 2012, Janette and Woodson worked together on application design and programming of a (non-GIS-based) lands-records management system---a .NET application running inside a SharePoint shell.
